Original Title: Radio in Barbershop
Location: Unknown.
This early version of a portable radio was a gimmick to get money from patrons. It was simple to operate:
First: Place the headphone to your ear, set the dial to 50, then press the button, if you can hear music intermittently, then its working.
Second: Place a nickel in the slot and turn handle.
Third: Listen to music, when you see a red light turn on, place another nickel in the machine to avoid interruption.
It's not known how long the music would play, but it was a unique thrill to listen to music while getting a haircut.
