Original Title: Cajun children fishing in the bayou near the school
Location: Schriever, Louisiana
Two boys, always getting into trouble,decided today they would play hooky instead of going to school. It's gotta be better than readin' and writin'. It's a warm day, its nice out, no wonder they like this better, hope they can hold their breath in case the truant office comes by.
I wonder if the reason they call it hooky, has to do with fishing hooks?

I love this one, Mike....so peaceful and nostalgic. Perfect range of blues: the water, the boy's blue shirt, and both boys' denim cutoff coveralls. And the light is so lovely...you really feel like you're perhaps in a cottage up on the hill taking a look into the boys' little world :) Perfect in every way.
