Description
It's said that the early bird gets the worm, and while that isn't wrong, its not accurate. They get one single worm, because worms are not morning dwellers, they need coffee, they are slow and sluggish. The rest of the day, the bird struggles to get any other worms because the worms had their morning brew and are very fast.
Seeing this as a challenge, scientists spent a lot of time building the ultimate bird. They wanted something elegant, simple and yet interesting enough to be a talking point at tea socials. They created this guy, a clockwork bird, that is much faster than any worm, it has an extendable neck, so it can reach out over a long distance to get them even if the worm thinks it has the advantage. The birds seemed happy at first, but soon realized its mostly machine now, and it should be hunting other machines. So the scientists went back to work and adapted the worms, so they too are mechanical.
