Description
A small fine market in Waterford, Virginia. Two old soda machines act as sentries, never moving even if you rock them. This building is quite old, look at those narrow doors, people were thin back then or were really good at holding their breath. It's just as well the machines are outside, they would never get it in those doors. Check out the upstairs door - that's for the in laws.

Love this, the contrast between the old and the new, the building looks like it could just slide away

I see Christmas cactus growing in the windows. This old store could have been extracted right out of rural Wyoming when I was a child. Those soda machines are much too modern to have been in the 1950s--Mrs. Polly Perfecto had a bodega in Worland WY where she sold penny candy, Ne-Hi orange pop, hot dogs on a string, chili pods hung in bunches to dry, and frozen ice treats. Little kids on trikes, old men on canes and teens in hot rods were her regular customers.
