Description
Colorized photo from 1926
Original Title: Ford Motor Co
Location: 10th st NW & Louisiana, Washington DC
The location of this street is now a part of the Federal Triangle complex that was built in the 1930's. The image was taken because of the truck and what it does, probably for Ford. Little did they know they actually recorded history just a few years before they demolished this whole company.
I think the truck was either a pine green or a red color of some kind and it was filthy. I chose a 2 color combo for a touch of pop and pizazz. The mailbox might actually be green, they chose different colors over the years. But I chose the typical blue we use today.
There is a guy in that truck that looks like he's wearing a raccoon mask. I don't know why his eyes are more shaded then the rest of his face. Maybe its a costume of some kind. I can only assume there was a lot of mud on the way to the store, as it was covered in a lot of dirt.
