Description
In a quiet corner beneath the old wooden pews lived a humble little church mouse. He led his congregation every Sunday at dawn, just before the first light touched the stained-glass windows in soft amber tones.
His pulpit was a sideways matchbox, and the choir, a trio of field mouse sisters, chirped sweet hymns that echoed gently beneath the floorboards. Mice from the rafters, broom closets, and pantry corners would scurry in, brushing crumbs from their whiskers and settling onto folded petals and biscuit wrappers, ready to listen.
He spoke of kindness and shared crumbs, of patience during mousetrap season, and of believing in the small, everyday miracles, like pantry doors left ajar. The sermons were simple but sincere, always ending with a warm smile, a squeaky "Amen," and sometimes a seed passed from paw to paw.
