Blacksmiths, the artisans of metal, have long been indispensable to society, honing their craft over countless centuries. With their mastery of heat and their formidable array of tools, they transform raw materials into practical and beautiful objects. Fire is their constant companion, an essential element that breathes life into the metal they shape. Each strike of the hammer and every radiant spark from the forge ignites their creative fervor, as they work tirelessly to forge a world where heat is their ally.
In the forge, the blacksmith applies intense heat to the metal, causing it to soften and become malleable. They use their strength and skill to shape the metal into the desired form, using tools such as hammers, tongs, and anvils. My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...

I haven't read all of them but your narratives about the blacksmith trade makes interesting reading. Burt Reynolds got his start in the role of 'Quint' on Gunsmoke. "In 1962, Dennis Weaver decided to leave Gunsmoke, one of the top TV shows in the country. The producers developed a new character for the show, a half-Comanche blacksmith named Quint Asper. Reynolds surpassed over 300 other actors to win the role. He is first introduced in the series in the episode "Quint Asper Comes Home," as we find out he is trying to avenge his father's death. Marshall Matt Dillon, played by James Arness, takes a liking to the angry young man, and he appears in the next three seasons of the show."

A well lit and written tribute. All those with the Smith last name testify to the necessity of these craftsmen.
