Original Title: Repairing a lake carrier after a collision

When I was doing research on this, someone said this was the Lorain Ohio ship building, and I was fine with that for a bit. I ignored my instincts to see what was written on that building on the right, and it turned out to be Chicago, which was close, but not Ohio.
This ship had a head on collision with another ship. You can see men cutting parts away, on the ground you can see a manifold with long, long gas lines draped over the side like rope. I couldn't imagine how safe that was, probably not very. That and there are no barriers in place on the side of the ship. I would so walk off the side. Though it could make a fun game, count all the OSHA violations.
Both this ship and this ship building company were scrapped in 1983.
