This place is a small factory that existed for 3 years total. He used parts from other car makers to make his own car, and he made only 118 cars in total. That's the short story anyway.
This building still exists, they are going to put a museum inside featuring the few Hackett cars that are left.
The original image was washed out and blinding. Hard to exposure for a room made entirely of windows. I wanted to give this a look like we just stumbled into an old garage and time was just frozen. Anyway, I cropped out the box on the left because it was distracting.
You can see how they are building the cars, in the back I think I see the shape of the rear, but there is no smooth metal on it? So maybe it was a skin? There are piles and stacks of parts, hoods, cowling, there are seats in the rafters, cushions in a pile, they are skinning a roof on the left.
There aren't too many cars that exist, but there were some artists renditions, I took the yellow from that. The other colors were from that era.
