Henry Ford created the first car in a garage that looks a lot like this one. When he became successful he recreated his wife Clara's shed, and made it look like it was from 1896. He even recreated the giant hole he made in the side trying to get that thing out of there as it had no actual garage door.
The story is, he was 32 when he created it, it took 2 years to complete, it could drive up to 20mph on 4 bike wheels. It had no brakes, no reverse, just a bell and a horn. They still use this place as a museum, but for some reason, almost everything is gone. Only things left is that car, lathe, that thing in the center near the book case and the stuff on the left wall, and that stove.
I copied the colors from the current museum and just wanted a sort of a car is born look to it. Rockwell painted this very scene with him and his wife doing something. She was sewing, but I don't think there was much to sew other than the cushions.
You can see a number of tee squares on the wall on the right. They didn't say where the power came from, considering this was a shed, that was a weird oversight.
