Original Title: Amsterdam New York
Location: 133 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY
Amsterdam NY is a small tow, in its day, as you can see here, they were a bustling metropolis. Despite the rain, people are moving about doing whatever people do. The city was so filled with architecture, much of it build in the mid to late1800's.
However, as all towns eventually become, if you let things go, it becomes urban, and people move out. In the 1960's they did an urban renewal project which ripped out most of the main streets and replaced it with a large mall. Which then later failed. And with it, many people didn't stay in the town. As a result people didn't live in the buildings and many of them were later removed.
Despite being an upper class town as you see here, these days, most of these nice buildings are gone. Replaced with parking lots for the most part.
The only thing left is that church, St Mary's. Its the only...
My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...
