This confused me when I made it. See it looks almost like the boat house at Lincoln park. Its practically identical, if it didn't have different molding, roof line, stairs, and just about everything else. But at a glance they looked very much the same, I guess it had the same architect. It also had similar coloring according to postcards, which was yellow. Some had tan or white. I tried to make it a little different looking than the Lincoln park house.
I don't know if Garfield Park still has boats on the water or not, but it seemed very popular in the day. And it seems that many ladies did the rowing, as you can see in the background. There are a few guys on the shoreline looking down at something, I wonder what they are looking at?
I couldn't find any info about that house other than its either a cafe or a boathouse, you would think there would be info on it. I don't know when they removed that building or why, I assume fire, almost everything is usually a fire.
