Original Title: People arriving at a Chicago theater for show starring, in person
Photographer: Stanley Kubrick
Location: 175 North State Street, Chicago IL
Stanley Kubrick has some classic films on his hands, but when he was a photo journalist at a 17-21, he did not know how to focus a camera. While his images were interesting they were largely out of focus and blurry. Which is bothersome because some of his pictures are nice, like this one.
Anyway, as you can tell from the original there was a bit on the left, and I colored that in at first, only to decide that it wasn't a pole and a store next to it, its a frame from another picture, so I had to crop it closer.
This theater still exists today, so getting the colors for the sign was "easy" putting them on in the right spots was harder. Since there are 3 colors in it, yellow, red and orange, but mixed in odd spots. You can't tell by looking at the sign, but its very fan...
My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...
