To the best of my knowledge, the taxi should adhere to specific color schemes, although there were at least five different combinations it could have been. Despite the changes, a few buildings still stand today, including the enduring concrete structure on the right.
We find ourselves at the intersection of W Washing St and Dearborn, precisely on the renowned block 37, which stands proudly as the beating heart of the downtown loop. Back in the 1980s, this very location witnessed the removal of several buildings as part of an ambitious redevelopment plan that ultimately met an unfortunate fate.
Taking the spotlight on this corner is the Washington Shirt company, a once-thriving department store, accompanied by the distinguished Wiebolt's department store to the right. A lively shopping atmosphere permeates the area, evident in the multitude of individuals carrying various bags in their hands.
