It's interesting that the photographer managed to make everything sharp, except one little spot in the middle of the window. I tried to fix the area between electric and gas, but I was able to only get so much clear.
The premise of the shot was that a sociologist hired a black photographer to show how American black people were actually very successful people and not lazy or follow the stereotypes that seem to haunt them. This was displayed at the Paris Exposition in 1900. About 500 images from around the country were displayed there.
Being that the owner is black, I don't get who the white guys are. There is a second picture from inside and the mustache guy is in that one too. I assume its a partner thing. There isn't any other info about this shop, and currently its being used as a vacant lot.
About Mike Savad
My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...

First of all thanks so, so much for helping me in my discussion ! I love everything about this series but especially this one. I have a thing for old store fronts, may be reminding me of my grand mother's pictures during war times...
