Original title: State St & Marshall Fields
Location:108 N State St, Chicago, Illinois
This is state street, its always been known for shopping, ever since it was a part of the Indian trail, called Hubbard's Trail. It connected Chicago to other trading routes. This street is so well known that Frank Sinatra sang about it "State Street, that great street". This was a famous street before Michigan Ave took the title.
On the left is Marshall Fields department store, built between 1900-1906 in two stages north and south. It was a very advanced and fancy department store. It has a total of 73 acres of floor space. In its day it had a huge china, toy and book section. It also had an in store restaurant. It was a very classy building, and it still is today.
My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...
