This building started as a Jewish synagogue that was built in 1891, when the tenants moved out to a new temple, it was turned into a church. This church went on and started gospel music as the legend goes. It was still being used as the Pilgrim Baptist church till 2006 when it burned down during a botched roof repair. It destroyed the entire building, tall roof, windows near by other buildings and all the cars in the lot. Today its a burned out building of only 3 walls, held together with heavy duty scaffolding. They want to rebuild it, but its not built yet as of this writing.
I removed that ugly pole in the center and on the right. Normally for these documentary shots I leave it all alone. Because its a pain to remove things like a pole, as I had to rebuild the scene where the poles were missing. I tho...
