This had some serious restoration work in it. It's usually not this bad, and I did have another one that was clean, but it was taken at a different time, and I liked this one better, it had more character. there was a lot of dirt on the building itself, which meant a lot of cloning.
The building is still standing, I was able to get the brick color from that, actually took it from the back of the building where the light was steady. The smaller buildings don't exist now. I used a lot of color on the ones on the side, they had fancy molding. And I figured they needed to compete so they needed to stand out.
I chose green for the awnings because I saw one single postcard that had them that color, plus they go with the roof, which was painted green.
There are some weird details, like what are those ramps? There are a number of saw horses with ramps on them, all facing the same direction.
There is a jumper on the 10th floor. Either that or he is the worlds dumbest window washer. On the other side of the building there is a window in mid fall? Or they are removing it, its weird. The shorter one next to that has a guy on a scaffold that is really bending in the middle. And another below that, casually sitting 30 ft off the ground.
