This is the original Cafe Brauer, they replaced it with the new one in 1908, there was no mention why. Though judging by the missing balustrade, I would say it was falling apart. In those days they used it as a cafe and a place to rent small boats.
While there wasn't a lot of info about this building, there were a few postcards. Each or them showed the building as either a yellow or a beige, and the boats were random colors. I liked one of the cards showing yellow walls and a green trim, I added pink and cream for balance. I wanted the boats and the house to match. The roof had a range of color, from gray, to brown to red. But because they looked like slate to me, I made it gray.
The image had some weird faded ares in the trees, like a big ghost just sat out there. I also removed a boat on the right, since it was cut in half and just distracting. It also threw the balance off.
There is enough detail in this that you can see who is eating. I can see a grandfather and a kid, there looks to be like some lady together time as well.
