This building is featured in almost every postcard they made of this area. Usually in the background, just sort of there. It was mostly a beige building with darker trim. It was built in 1885, But I think the top was painted green, I don't think it was verdigris green.
If you'll notice that triangular blob on the right, I believe that is an arm. Because even in those days, you can always expect someone not to see the camera and get a body part in there. Despite how large the camera was, he still managed to get in the way.
On the left is the esplanade and the fountain. I have no idea what those bollard like structures are for. I guess decoration, but I can't imagine it would stop a run away street car, but maybe that's what its for.
There was also a flag on top with a weird stripe pattern. They went vertically and in an arc, but I'm still not sure if those were stripes or if I over enhanced it and those were folds of material. Either way I made it look a bit like an American flag because that's what people expect to see. I made the street cars white and orange to reflect the postcards I found, and some of the images I already made. They could be red ones too, but I'm not really an expert in streetcars.
