Description
17 West Market Street, Corning NY - This is the Palace Theatre in Corning NY. Not to be confused with the earlier Palace Theatre. This place opened as the Little Princess back in the 1800's. It became the Princess Theatre (dropping the "little"), in 1910. In 1914, it converted to a full time move theater, but it closed in 1927. It was an upstairs theater and had 800 seats.
The history is a little fuzzy between 1927 and 2007 when it opened again with this name, as a smaller theater. It seems it changed names over the years. This current building holds 75-100 people. They have the ability to host parties here. And an interesting note about the chairs, some rows have tables. So you can eat a snack easier, its also good for people with long legs.
