This was a very complicated scene, with far more detail than you can ever imagine. Old camera's were really impressive with the detail they could capture. I found detail in the farthest part of this. You can zoom way in to see detail in this.
Anyway, on the right is city hall, I found actual real photos of the building it showed it as an ugly gray building, totally gray. Yet every old picture showed it as a brown or combination. I chose a few gray and brown tones where I thought it needed it. I think the outer block is just concrete block and the rest is stone. The pillars are located near a strip mall near by.
The streetcars in each postcard couldn't decide on the color. It was either red or mucky yellow. There were enough yellow ones to tell me that I'll do both, the ones on one rail are yellow, the other red.
I was able to find many of those signs, which is rare. I even found the one in the back about the flour. They still sell that brand.
Today nearly nothing stands. There was a big fire in 1928 that destroyed everything from here to the movie theater near the church. The church and theater are still there, but the theater is just another building. And the church has no steeple. There may be other originals but are hidden in the curve of the street.
