Description
Colorized Photo from 1920
Original Title: Street market in Paris, France
Location: 38 Rue Montogueil, Paris, France
The location of this place isn't totally known. The snail on the right belongs to Escargot's, a restaurant that has been there since 1832. Down the block is the Paroisse Saint-Eustache, another place that has probably been there for a long time. However this image is in the wrong direction. This view is only possible looking down the road when the snail is on the left. But oh well.
Anyway, this image had a lot of noise in it, and it was quite pale in the center, nearing white. Coloring this in however, that too much longer than I expected. Usually a city scene will take about 3 days to make, this took about twice that. Mostly because its wall to wall people. And there was a lot of detail, some area's are iris sharp.
This image is best seen up close, there are a lot of things going on in it. And oddly almost all the females not only look the same, they all have the same old lady hairdo.
