There are so many cars in this! All those extra elements made this take so much longer to color than I thought. Usually these take about 2-3 days or about 4-15 hours total. This took a week and change, not sure how many hours. A lot of that time was finding the cars. Luckily google lens is actually useful, and I can point it at a car and it will often give me a brand name I can look up. Most of the cars in this era were dark or kind of flat looking.
I liked the Americana look to this scene. It's a farm town, but this is the city section. You can see some of the cars are layered with mud, and there are a few farmers walking about.
I was able to find the original buildings for the hotel, but its disorienting since the center buildings are totally gone, along with the road. Without the original Kirkwood being there now, I never would have seen that there was a dark brown layer of brick, with stripes of a darker brown. Even the street car was easy to find. All the buildings you see here are there now, except for the ones in the center, and the Shell station.
