Original Title: Walnut St, Kansas City, MO

Sometimes its fun looking back in time. Seeing all the signs, of businesses that no long exist. Buildings that are long gone now, a place you would never recognize should you go backward or forward in time (depending on when you lived).
This is Walnut street in Kansas City, Missouri, today there are large commercial buildings. The buildings you see here were knocked knocked down sometime in the 1960's. They were run down and were not in good shape. Even in 1906 when this image was originally taken, these buildings look quite old, they appear to be re-purposed into new businesses.

I am always mesmerized when I see your images. This image is a great example of what happens when skill and imagination work together in a receptive mind. As a relative novice, I wish to learn so much, and seeing your artwork keeps me focused, and working to make my own art better. My mind goes from "How did he do that" to "I am going to learn that, no matter hard it is". I haven't found my own style yet, but when I do, I hope it carries the sort of excitement and marvel that I have when see your work.

i just wish there was even a tiny bit left of it. but i've seen other street scenes like this, and i visit on google maps and its like an open park. you would never know it was once a town. ---Mike Savad MikeSavad.com
