The Grand Boulevard, has had a great number of businesses over the years. The stores seem to come and go on this street, changing every few years. Right now its around 1906 or 1908, its a little hard to tell. If you look in the background you'll see a banner for Henry M Beardsley, who ran for mayor in those two years. He lost in the second term, but there is no way to tell if this is the 1908 version.
Many of the buildings are gone, and a few are totally changed. On the left is the original Bryant building, originally built in 1891 at the corner of Petticoat Lane. It was named after Dr. John Bryant, who lived on that spot, the building replacing his house. The building sat till 1931, where it was removed and replaced with the one that is standing there now. It has a strong art deco influence now.
Further down on the left is the Emery Thayer Bird building, that one was removed. Further down on the right, that gold dome is a part of the United States post office and Custom house, which is still there today minus the dome.
