The original crop was taller, but I felt no one needed the top of the boat. There is a post card floating around that is in color, I was able to get the crude colors from that. But those old postcards, I'm certain are hand tinted, and the colors are rather blocky. The water is a blue color, I verified it with images online, I did add some green scum though because well, that's really what water looks like up close.
It really is amazing how much things have changed from then to now. Even right now Pier 17, that big mall, was destroyed in hurricane Sandy. I had no idea, we were there a week before that storm, and never went back. When I did research on this, I found out they tore the whole mall down and will be replacing it with a brand new mega mall. Things change I guess.
