Description
Colorized photo from 1905
Original title: Broad St.
Location: Broad Street at Spruce St, PA
This is Broad Street in Philadelphia, designed by William Penn in 1693. He designed it to be extra wide so it can accommodate a horse and carriage, so it can turn around easily.
At the end of the block sits, City Hall, its a very tall building, it was once the tallest building in the world from 1901-1908. It has more than 88 million bricks. Many of the buildings you see here in this image, still stands today.
