The date on this one ranged from 1900-1910, I marked it as 1908 because another one in this same area was marked that date. I tried looking up when those buildings in the background were built. The cold storage building mentioned increasing their building height in some book back in 1904, so 1908 may be accurate. I don't know who would complain though if it wasn't the exact year.
My favorite part about this scene was the horse that has a hat, complete with ear holes. It's not the first time I saw a horse wear a hat, but its nice to see them dressed up.
95% of these buildings don't exist today. On the right is a condo, the left a factory, the tracks are there, but not in this form. The cold storage building and smoke stack are still there, but you have to drive beyond the bridge that spans this area, to see it.
This scene had so many carriages, with so much stuff. Some of these wagons were packed full of boxes, its amazing nothing spilled out.
