I like images that tell their own kind of story. In this case, a couple of friends, or at least people that don't have a hate for each other, sitting and just hanging out. A child so tired that he's asleep while leaning in a weird position.
I don't know why that guy is sitting on a box of raw meat. I was surprised to see there was actually stuff in that box. Same with those cages, some kind of dark live bird is in there. There is a kitten on the window sill, and i'm not really sure how it got there, I guess they can walk walls?
I had a really hard time finding the Wrigley ad. It wasn't until I looked for the guy who painted it, did I find it. Only the version I saw showed a darker person, and all the evidence suggests they only used white people for those arrows (they are called Spearmen). I never would have guessed that red color. Red usually shows up as nearly black, but this must have been really faded.
This building is historic and was made a landmark around 1910 or so. As of such they photographed it a number of times, It was a store almost every time, only the names changed. The colors came from the original house, which is still there, as a residential property. in 2012 Google drove by the house, and it showed the progress of the current paint job and I think the original. I was planning on making this a forest green color anyway, but looking at the colors there, I made it reflect that here.
