Original Title: Merchant's stores and offices brick row
Location: 474 William St, Fredericksburg, VA
What initially attracted me to this image was that single car. The building itself, while old, looks modern to me because it still exists today. The car brings back to the original time this was taken. Without it, I don't think it would look as good.
The building had a lot of brick exposed, and balancing the brick to paint ratio was tough in areas. The wood is very rotten, but still had a bit of paint left on it. I used a blue theme for contrast and added touches here and there.
I can only assume that this was a larger building and they removed a chunk of it to add that road on the side. All that exposed rotten wood, and that free floating door at the top would account for that.
