Back in the day they used to put wire on your teeth to make them straight, sometimes head gear was used if you complained too much, as a sort of punishment. Birds would land on this head gear and make your life difficult. Today, for those that like old school, braces are still used in the same way, with wire. But you can also get them as clear overlays.
