Original Title: Installing Search lights, Bolling Field
Location: Washington, DC 20032, Bolling Air Force Base Heliport
This is a searchlight, it as used to light up clouds, to create artificial moonlight at night. After, they used it to light up planes bombing them.
There was no information about this style light any where. Other than a few pictures of bunkers that had this shape, I couldn't find the original colors. I made it green because everything military seems to be green. But I'm guessing that a spot light doesn't really need to blend in at all, since its, well a spot light, so any color would probably fit. The GE logo, changes colors over the years, from black to red to blue, so I think that's correct.
I'm not sure if more bulbs go into that light, I'm thinking yes, simply because that isn't a very large bulb. Originally I thought this was going on that pole, but then decided that it must sit right there on that platform.
