i actually do know it does, but i've never seen one in person. though i think i head that the sap from the stems is corrosive to the skin in some way. ---Mike Savad

Lovely photograph. This orchid is actually not an Oncidium. It is more closely related to the Cattleyas and belongs to the genus Myrmecophila (formerly Schomburgkia). Google them to find out about their fascinating relationships with ants, and check out my orchid blog at www.madorchidist.com.
