Original title: Engine lathe work

In 1915, the US Navy had to rely on their own machinists when equipment broke down. Machinists were responsible for a wide variety of tasks which included machining new parts and components. They used other tools besides lathes, but every shop has a lathe.
If you look carefully there is a creeper lurking in the background on the left, with just enough eye glint to make your blood go cold for a second. There is also a tuft of something on that one guy's hat, I couldn't tell if that was a patch that fell off, or if it was supposed to be there or not, but I took it off because I didn't like it.
