This is the Centennial Exhibition of 1876, it was the first World's fair in this country. Exhibitors from all over the world came to set up here, over 14,000 in all. Many companies showed off their inventions, creations and technology.
For example, this giant hexagonal display showed the many medicines William R Warner had. He was the inventor of the sweet sugar coating they put on pills. Before that all pills were disgusting, and thanks to his invention, they were now less disgusting.
Eventually, the company partnered with others and were called Warner-Lambert, before again changing hands a few more times, they kept doing this till around 2003.
