I almost wish I could have been standing there to watch the show. Being the only sensible person to not buy a bottle. Wondering what nonsense will come out of their mouth, only to find out later its a combination of mineral oil and turpentine. This is a medicine show, people would stand up (I assume in unusual and bright clothing, I mean check out that guy's lucky pants)!
Covered in snakes, getting the attention of everyone. Bottles clinking around and they are selling it. Saying how effective their medicine is, it will cure you, your mother, pet and cow, I can guarantee you will feel better or die trying.
I chose colors that are bright and noticeable. Something that would turn a head and you would take notice. I do wonder which person in there is the plant, I'm guessing its red vest guy. You always need a plant in the audience to get them interested.
That church in the background is still there today. And on their sign is this picture (the original), showing how these weirdo's stood in front of their church.
