Original Title: Merchant's Stores and offices, Brick Row
Location: 205 William Street, Fredericksburg, VA
Established in 1791, the WL Bond and Seed Store was one of the oldest pharmacy's in the United States. This pharmacy has changed hands over the years. WL Bond, the last proprietor, knocked down the wall between the two buildings and expanded the place.
He installed a soda machine, and a toy store on the second floor. He was one of the only people in town that sold toys.
You don't see gas pumps on streets any more, but they were a thing back then. Even the pharmacy once had one. This block also seems to be the home of combination stores, such as the electrician/shoe repair.
