Description
If it was chilly outside, I would go into the store and buy myself a sweater. But in the colonial days it was a lot more work. There were no stores you could buy clothes like that, or even the supplies.
Instead you may have had to raise your own sheep or buy wool from a local farmer, which in those days may have been miles away. From there the wool would be cleaned and dyed if they wanted it a different color, and the dying process has many steps as well.
From there, its fed into a spinning wheel, little by little and it forms a nice tight yarn. And then from there, they can use that yarn on the loom to create material which then can be used to create your sweater.
By the time you were done, it was probably summer.
