Original Title: Jupiter & Lake Worth RR
Location: Jupiter Florida
This is the Jupiter and Lake worth railway, it made trips to a steamboat company. It's a narrow gauge train (3ft), and had a 7.5 mile connection between Jacksonville, Tampa and Key West.
It connected Lake worth at Juno, FL; to Jupiter inlet in Jupiter Florida; with intermediate stops at Venus and Mars. Because of this the train was often called the Celestial Railroad.
The purpose of this railroad was to link Lake Work and Jupiter inlet, both of which had steamboat lines. there were no turning tracks, locomotives always pointed to Juno, forcing trains to make the trips in reverse.
The fare was rather expensive at the time, 10 cents per mile, for a total of 75 cents (about $22 of today's money).

About Mike Savad

My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...

I bought a 500 piece puzzle of this print. Its a lovely picture, and a well made puzzle. The puzzle came in a nice, attractive box. Nicely printed, on a quality card backing. Delivered (to Britain) in about a week. Not cheap- but good things seldom are. Overall, I am delighted. I wish I'd bought a poster or print as well.

Interesting to know that November is train month. I love trains. I view the trains everyday from my home, having double train tracks. They overlap at Marsh Station, quite the history to tell at this location. This is beautiful artwork. Wonderfully composed. LF Janet 💕
