Description
Colorized photo from 1912
Original Title: Three trucks: S.M. Frazier
Photographer: Harris & Ewing
Location: Anacostia, Washington DC
These three trucks were made by the HE Wilcox Motor Company, known as Wilcox Trux. They start in 1906, closed by 1928.
The trio of trucks shown here was once used in an advertisement to show off their latest truck, and at the same time, this hauling company got free advertisement. Though looking at these three, you really can't tell which is the new one, they all look pretty beat up. They had the ability to handle 3 tons of weight.
There is little known about the SM Frazier company, other than he had three trucks. They hauled wood, construction supplies, coal and so on. And worked in what looks like a decrepit old shack, which looks like it was falling while this picture was taken.
