The truck rumbles through the quiet main road of the small town, passing a few modest houses that sit nestled among the trees, then parks there to visit friends. Out front, people are busy with the work of the day. In the distance a man repairs a wooden fence, his saw making steady progress through a plank, while the scent of fresh-cut wood fills the air. Across the street, a woman tends to her garden, kneeling in the dirt as she pulls weeds and tends to her rows of vegetables. Children play nearby, pausing to watch the truck as it kicks up a trail of dust, their laughter momentarily quieted by the passing vehicle.
