The Ambrose Wager House, also known as Croff's Villa, is a striking example of Second Empire architecture in Rhinebeck, NY. Built in 1875, the house was designed by renowned architect Gilbert B. Croff, who featured it in his book Progressive American Architecture. Originally constructed for Ambrose Wager, a successful attorney in the area, the house has remained a private residence throughout its history. In 1990, it was purchased by Dr. Antonio Parisi and his wife, Dr. Doilfa Parisi, for $26,000 from Hudson River Heritage Inc., a preservation group that required the new owners to restore the property while preserving its Victorian character. The restoration process, which cost over $100,000, brought the house back to its former grandeur, ensuring that this piece of Rhinebeck's architectural history would continue to stand as a testament to the elegance and craftsmanship of the era.
My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...
