Some of my favorite things about colorizing old cities is locating them on the map. Finding old buildings or parks and side streets that used to be elevated track is neat. This is sort of a good look back in time.
The train railway you see here was built in 1875, then later taken down in 1950. While many felt it was convenient to have a train close by, many people found it to be a total eye sore. It created a lot of dark areas, and people that thought they lived in privacy, had a train fly by their windows, just feet away.
This location, all that is left of it are the Castoria building and the ones next to it. Everything else is pretty much gone.
This image, its main fault was that white part at the bottom. All of that had to be cloned back and it was a pain to get it to work. I probably went overboard on the detailing of that Glenmore hotel bui...
