Description
Colorized Photo Taken in 1900, Location, The Bowery, NY, near Hester Street.
This was a bit harder to find on the map, but some of these buildings do exist, but look nothing like they do now. I matched them to what I thought looked best. The trolley and train are about the right color, I saw the train rusting in one image, and the trolley had postcards to match up. I chose a sunset because the sky was so blank and empty it was begging for color.

This one really stands out. How long does the process take on a complex image like this?
Mike Savad replied:
most of these will take about 2-3 days to do, this one might have taken 4 due to the signs. ---Mike Savad MikeSavad.com

Great work as always Mike. This one looked complicated but the shading is spot on! I especially like the detail on the green roof and the sky is well done.
Mike Savad replied:
the sky was a toughish decision, without it, it's not an eye catcher, i would have to rely on just the sign, and its not enough. and the street had no purpose with that color. there were no real shadows, so i assume the original was overcast, so i added something new. copper roof's were so vogue then. ---Mike Savad MikeSavad.com
