I get my Public Domain images at the Library of Congress, and well if you have ever been there you would see how the white people are favored over black. Which is natural because the images are from an era where black and whites were not at all equal.
So finding a mix where I have a balance is kind of tricky. It's simply very hard finding someone of color in a role that isn't derogatory.
So when I find an image like this, where they aren't referenced by a color, and they are in a role that doesn't shine a bad light, it makes it much more pleasant to create.
