Original Title: Wrecked Pennsylvania RR Car on tracks
Location: Brunswick Ave & Columbus Ave, Jersey City, NJ
A quick run down at what we are looking at. There are two trains, one coming in with passengers, and another backing in to get a new load of passengers. The passenger filled train was switched onto the train backing in. At least one of the trains was moving at 30mph or so, probably the passenger.
No one really knows if there was something wrong with the track, or something happened to the turning point part of the track, but it did happen, and they collided. It send debris everywhere, killed 4, injured dozens. People living there, it was outside of their second story windows, coal rained down along with debris. People below took the coal home for warmth.
I found the colors for the train, they didn't say if the passenger train was from Pennsylvania or it came from there. I made it red because theirs was red, it could have easily have been green. The locomotives of that day were just locomotive colored, nothing fancy.
I was able to find this exact location, even though the road name changed. And verified it with that church off in the background. They lost the steeples but the angle is the same. The houses are all but gone though. While its a poor area, I chose fun colors.
