Artist's Description
Colorized photo from 1941
Original Title: Main St in Brattleboro
Original photographer: Jack Delano
Location: 39 Main St, Brattleboro VT
Every town in every city had its Main Street. Usually its bustling with cars and people. There is always something to do, something to shop at, to look at, to meet up.
This particular Main Street belongs to Brattleboro Vermont. If you were to visit this street today, it looked exactly the same, minus that one building on the right. That building burned down in 1977, and from my understanding, the one before that, also burned down.
But every other building still exists, including the Latchis hotel and movie theater. The only real difference between now and then is, in those days, they had nicer looking cars. It's like looking at a car show.
About Mike Savad

My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...
