You, the patient would tell them how much your head hurts from the eye strain. After that he would move the lens or add or remove them, until you can see pretty clear. At this point it became a game, he would remove one and add another and ask - is one better or two? And to you they both look bad, but you have to decide which is better, that's how you win the game.
