Artist's Description
Colorized photo from 1939 Sept
Original Title: Service station run by former resident of Oklahoma
Location: Questa, NM
The original owner of this lived in Oklahoma, so it was only fitting that he named this place for where he lived. It's too bad he wasn't a better typesetter though.
This is more than just a service station, it has a store, hotel rooms, and even a ladies restroom. That is some high class arrangements. You can get gas, spend the night, get your oil changed, buy some stuff, kick dirt around and make new friends.
About Mike Savad
My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...

I love this image and the description, "kick dirt around." It made me long to be a kid again and kick dirt around. Maybe I'll go kick some around today. :) Anyway, thank you for this artwork. L/F
